Superpixel

Privacy policy

Last updated: 9 October 2026

In short

Superpixel does not collect personal data. The extension works in your browser and keeps everything on your device.

The only thing that can ever reach our server is an optional debug log, sent only if you say yes. It has no account, no IP address and no ID that could identify you, and it is deleted after 30 days. No analytics, no ads, no tracking, nothing sold.

Who we are

Superpixel (the Chrome extension and the website superpixel.run) is run by Piotr Zapolski Web Development. Contact: kontakt@agentshub.pl or GitHub Issues.

Superpixel is open source, so you can check everything on this page in the code on GitHub.

What stays on your device

The extension runs locally in your browser. There is no Superpixel account and no sign-up. These things are kept only in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) and never sent to us:

  • your settings, including a SearchAPI.io key if you add one,
  • the result of your last scan,
  • a short cache of scan results (24 hours by default, you can change it in Settings),
  • a local debug log with the last 500 lines, which you can view, copy or clear in Settings.

Removing the extension deletes all of it. We do not use analytics, ads or tracking in the extension, and we do not sell or share any data.

Who your browser talks to during a scan

When you scan a website, your own browser (not our server) contacts:

  • the website you scan, to read which marketing tags it uses,
  • the public ad libraries: Google Ads Transparency Center, Meta Ad Library, TikTok Ad Library, LinkedIn Ad Library, Microsoft Ad Library and Snapchat Ads Gallery.

These requests come from your IP address, and for some libraries (for example Google and Meta) they use the session you are already signed in with. We never see these requests or their results. The privacy policies of those services apply to them. If you click a link to another ad library (for example X, Pinterest or Apple), that site's policy applies too.

SearchAPI.io (optional). If you add your own SearchAPI.io key, and a native ad library fails, the extension sends the scanned domain or brand name, with your key, to SearchAPI.io to get the results there instead. SearchAPI.io's privacy policy applies. Without a key, nothing goes to SearchAPI.io.

The optional debug log

Scrapers of unofficial ad library endpoints break often. To fix them quickly, the extension can send a short debug log to superpixel.run. It is off unless you say yes: the side panel asks once ("Help fix broken scans?") and nothing is sent until you click "Send logs". You can turn it off any time in Settings, Debug.

If you say yes, each scan sends one batch with only:

  • the extension version,
  • a random ID created for that one scan (it is not linked to you or your device, and a new one is made for every scan),
  • the domain you scanned,
  • warning and error lines from the debug log, and each platform's final status line (for example "Adapter finish: rate_limited, 0 ads"). These lines never include query strings.

It never contains your settings, API keys, ads, page content, browsing history or anything that identifies you. There is no install ID: older versions of the extension had one, and it is deleted from your browser when the extension starts.

Purpose: finding and fixing broken scrapers. Retention: entries are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically. Legal basis: the log is designed to contain no personal data. To the extent the GDPR applies to it at all, the basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by turning the log off. Withdrawing does not affect what was sent before.

The website superpixel.run

superpixel.run (this website and the debug log endpoint) is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH in data centres in the EU (Germany and Finland).

  • No cookies, no analytics, no tracking. The only script on the site is our own small one for the "Copy" button.
  • Our server does not store or log IP addresses. To block abuse of the debug log endpoint it counts requests per IP address in memory for one minute; this is never written to disk or to logs.
  • The font (Schibsted Grotesk) is loaded from Google Fonts. When you open the site, your browser requests it from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, so Google receives your IP address as part of that request. Google's privacy policy applies.

Your rights

Because we do not store personal data, there is nothing about you for us to access, correct, export or delete. You can still ask us anything about your data at kontakt@agentshub.pl or in GitHub Issues, and you have the right to complain to a data protection authority (in Poland: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO).

Children

Superpixel is a tool for marketers and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new "Last updated" date. The full history is in the GitHub repository.
